"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."

- James 1:17

In James 1:17, it says that every good and perfect gift comes from above? Where above? From God. He is the Father of lights and who does not change. Today, in America, is thanksgiving. It is a day to give thanks. And while Americans celebrate it specifically today, it is not just an American holiday. It is for everyone. God blesses us all in big ways and in small ways. Are your eyes opened to see those blessings?

At The Church Digital, the spirit of thankfulness is not lost on us. We were asked what we are thankful for. Here are some of the responses.

"This year has been one of incredible highs followed by some of the lowest lows. But this year, I’ve also got an incredible amount to be thankful for:
- My wife and kids, of course
- TCD’s continual landscape-defining work in the digital church space
- NCMS (Nerd Culture Ministry Summit)
- Lux Digital Church
- Bernie Mapili and Jeff Reed
- And, of course, Jesus for really showing me that "faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1 NIV)" - Andy Mage

"I am thankful for how God has provided for my family throughout the year. There have been different needs throughout the year and God has always come through. I honestly didn't know how things would play out some of those times, but with God's blessings, we were taken care of." - Tom Pounder

"I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of a Digital Network that is spirit led.  I am eternally thankful for the opportunity to get to do digital ministry and real life with friends who are family" - Nicole Howard

"I'm am thankful that after some of the hardest personal and professional experiences as a pastor, God has restored to me a love and excitement for ministry, as well as friends for the journey, that I haven't felt since seminary.  I have back that clear calling to follow, sense of being in over my head, and front row witness to the spirits moving.  I'm just so humbled that God uses someone like me." - Leighton Seys

"I'm thankful for my kids.  As a child of multiple divorced parents, raising my kids has been not only an honor but restoring to my soul to see happy kids in a happy home.  In one generation we can take something away but in one generation we can restore it." - Bernie Mapilli

"I'm thankful for a supporting wife, a caring family, a God who forgives, and an opportunity to help people discover their calling, digitally." - Jeff Reed

"I’m thankful for the small community of fellow digital space ministers. While we share ideas and resources, it’s the support and care for each other that is life-giving and sustaining. Praise God." - Stacy Knapp

"'Philippians 1:3 I thank my God every time I remember you. As I look back on this year, I’m so grateful for YOU, for co-laborers who both understand the challenges of online ministry and inspire me to see the creativity of Jesus building His Church through all of us!!! I’m thankful for YOU!!!" - Jason Morris

"I’m thankful that God  has a plan and purpose for my life, and I can rest in the fact that I can trust Him with that plan and purpose. It may not always make sense to me, and sometimes call for uncomfortable next steps, but He has proven in my life, and throughout history, to be faithful to those who are obedient." - Stuart McPherson

"I am thankful for all the midcourse corrections God has made in my life. His purpose has shown to be greater than my plans, and change has brought good disruption and growth." - Joey Santos

Today, take time to thank God for the blessings He has given you today and for the past year. God is good.
