NOTES

  • Phygital Pre-Conference - Exponential Regional Conferences - Fall 2021 - Washington DC, SoCal, NorCal, Houston, Chicago
  • 1. Digital has too much potential to get scraps.
    • Mid/Post COVID - Not everyone came back to the building
      • Delta variant, mu variant, LOKI variant
      • Not getting political, as much as, recognizing your cathedrals and temples are not serving the purpose they once did
  • 2. If you don't think digital first, you likely won't think digital.
    • After several hundred years of physical-only church, our defaults are definitely physical.
      • Practically, Digital First forces you to work through the issues up front, instead of neglecting digital or limiting it to an after thought.
  • 3. Thinking Digital First will help your organization scale, think complement... think multimodal... think different!
    • "It's like leg day at the gym!"
    • "Our church does five things really well, and our weekend services are #fifth overall in priority." - Ray Hudson, Lead Pastor at City Center Church in Berkeley, CA
  • 4. It's not that Digital needs to be your #1 priority, it's that Physical Church Services can no longer be your #1 priority.
