4 Digital Ways to Make Mother's Day Special at Your Church

0

Mother's Day

Moms are very special and can make such a huge impact in the lives of their family and children. That is why Mother's Day is so special day. It is a day where families can intentionally celebrate the huge impact mothers have on individuals, families, and the whole community. It serves as a reminder to honor, appreciate, and cherish the many contributions and sacrifices made by mothers.

Because Mother's Day falls on a Sunday, it also provides Churches with a unique opportunity to honor moms and to help families honor them, as well. So what can Churches do? Here are a few digital things.

What Can You Do?

  1. Photo Booth. Mother's Day is a day in which moms want pictures with their family and children. Set up a photo booth with a volunteer or staffer by the set up to take pictures of the families. You could get a backdrop or simply make one with a bench and some nice flowers.
  2. In-Service Video Montague. Here you can collect photos and videos from families and put them together for a video tribute to moms at your Church. You can also look over older photos from Church events with moms and their families to put into this.
  3. Social Media Postings. Utilize your church's social media platforms to run campaigns encouraging people to share stories, photos, or messages about their moms. You can also use a dedicated hashtag or create a photo challenge to engage your community.
  4. Giveaways. You can do a few digital and physical give aways to your in-person and online attendees. The more you do this the merrier.

Conclusion

Mother's Day is a very special day for moms and families. It is a day that Churches can use to highlight the essential role mothers play in nurturing faith, instilling values, and providing a foundation for their children's spiritual foundation and growth. Make sure you provide ways families can honor and uplift them.
