Your Easter Prep Online Check List

0

EasterEaster is one of the biggest Sunday services of the year. With it being right around the corner, there is a lot of things your Church or ministry is working on right now to make sure it is a great service. However, before people come to your in-person or online service, there are lots of things you can be doing online right now that will directly impact your Easter experience.

So, what could your Church be doing online right now to help people discover your Church and have a great experience at your Church on Easter Sunday.

Website and Social Media Updates

Whenever you need information for something, where are you likely to go to search for the answer? GOOGLE! That means when regular, non-Church goers start searching for Easter services in the area, they are most likely going to search Google. That is why it is so important that your Church has the most updated information on it. Do you have the updated times and contact information on it? While it may seem like a no-brainer, but you would be surprised how many Churches have outdated information on their website. Updating your social media channels are just as important. Make sure all your information is updated. On Facebook, you can even create an Easter Event Page that will immediately draw attention to people checking out your social media.

Facebook Ads

While Facebook's organic reach is really low these days, Facebook Ads are still very effective. While people will likely search Google Search for Churches in the area, they could stumble upon your Church on Facebook. That is why you can use Facebook to place ads about your Easter services. Even if you do these ads a week or a few days before Easter, it is still effective. If you can do a video ad, that could be extremely effective. If not, a photo or a set of carousel images could be effective, too.

Other Social Media Opportunities

While there are lots of people on Facebook, there are other social platforms that can be just as effective in reaching a younger generation of people. Utilizing Instagram Reels, TikTok, Snapchat and even YouTube to get information out about your Church's Easter events or services can be just as powerful. For instance, Snapchat has Geo Filters and Context Cards that people can use to share about the services while they are at the Church. On TikTok and Instagram Reels you can be part of trends to share info about your Easter services.

Digital Missionary Involvement

Digital Missionaries are people who share about the love and hope of Christ on social media. They share in a variety of ways. It could be through writing, video, audio, photography, and other online tools. They can also use social media to share about what your Church is doing. They can share it through their own social media accounts or they can also share it on community pages, highlighting events or activities your Church is doing that the community may enjoy. This Easter empower Digital Missionaries to love on people and share about what your Church is going. Leading up to Easter send them weekly updates on all that is happening and encourage them with different ways they can minister online. The more they know about what is going on and how to minister online, the more effective they can be.

Conclusion

Every year Easter is one of the biggest, most important Sundays fro your Church. By doing these simple online updates and promotions, people in your area will not only know about your Church, but they will be up to date on all the right times and information on your Church. Take time to update it, get the word out and mobilize Digital Missionaries this Easter. Then, sit back, pray and see how God moves this Easter.
