While pumpkin spice lattes are often front and center during the fall season, the month of October is often associated with something a little bit more terrifying. Halloween. As a child it can seem fun with dressing up and grabbing candy. But, as you get older, people like to share more terrifying and scary things. This is what makes it such a great opportunity for Digital Missionaries.
The goal for Digital Missionaries is to use social media and other online opportunities to share the hope of Christ with others. With Halloween often bringing up worries and stresses, they can share Biblical truths that will help squash those fears. In fact, here are some encouraging Bible verses Digital Missionaries can share with those on the different platforms.
- 2 Timothy 1:7 - "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."
- 1 Peter 5:7 - "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
- Philippians 4:6-7 - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
- John 14:27 - “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
- 1 John 4:18 - “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

- Psalm 27:1 - “The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”
