New iPhones are being released today and they look awesome! In fact, every Fall since their initial release in 2007, new iPhones have been released. Apple has sold over 2.2 billion iPhone models and will only keep selling more and more models.

From the very beginning, iPhones have been a very sought out device as it is very user-friendly.  While most people would love to have a new iPhone, it is not always possible. But never fail, there are still things you can do to optimize your current iPhone to make it work better for as long as you can. So, how can you do that? Here are some tips you can do:

  1. More or Delete Old Files, Photos and Videos. No matter how many GBs you have on your phone, all the old files, photos and videos you keep on it can build up over time. Declutter your phone by moving them off your phone or simply delete them off it it.
  2. Power Off. When you turn off your phone, it gives you phone a break. It sounds weird, but it does! When your phone is on, you will likely have multiple apps running at the same time. This can slow down your phone. Take time to turn off your phone every now and then, let it rest for a minute or so, and then turn it back on. Your phone will likely speed up once you do.
  3. Recharge using Airplane Mode. The longer you have your phone, the more likely that the battery will drain faster than when it was new. That is why you need to recharge it more often. A simple trick to recharging it faster is to put your phone in Airplane mode. It's great for when you need a quick boost.
  4. Utilize Screen Time. In order to maximize your battery, you have to know what apps are draining your phone the most. Turn your screen time on and see so you can save your battery and optimize your iPhone more.
  5. Turn off Background App Refresh and Limit Location services. When you got from one app to another, it doesn't necessarily shut it down. The app is still up running in the background. Close it our completely or go to Settings, General, Background App Refresh and click "off". The same goes for location services. In your settings, go to Location and turn your location to "Off" or "While Using the App".

Just because you don't have the latest and greatest iPhone doesn't mean you can't optimize your current iPhone to last longer and be efficient. Do these 5 tips and see how that helps.
