NOTES

  • Digital Pastor (typical church): Looking for a Relational, Networker, Connector. Comfortable speaking in small venues. Tech savvy is good. Tech savant not necessary.
  • Post-COVID 2021, not doing anything digital until you hire is NOT the right answer.
    • Just because you cannot afford, or cannot find, someone does not mean that you should wait!
    • Cost effective solutions out there even if you don't have that full-time salary.
      • Option #1 - Hire a Full-time Digital Pastor for all Digital Responsibilities,
        • Pro - Clear responsibilities
        • Con - Digital responsibility is isolated to this individual
      • Option #2 - Crown a digital champion to think digital first and help hold all staff accountable for digital ministry.
        • Churchome's Mark Venti, Executive Pastor of Ministries, is Digital Champion.
        • Ministry Admin or Project Manager - "Ask the 'Digital' Question when everyone else is thinking physical.
        • Digital slowly becomes a part of everyone's responsibility, not silo'd with one or two individuals.
      • Option #3 - Don't know what to do? Hand Digital over to a volunteer!
        • Version One is better than Version None.
        • If you trust volunteer spiritually, trust what they want to do digitally. Create benchmarks and goals. Did it work?
  • Tip: Know what you want to do digitally before you hire someone full-time.
  • Tip: Looking to hire someone? I can help connect you with qualified applicants. Hit me up on social media (Twitter // Facebook // Instagram // LinkedIn).
